语法
- 主干是“主语 + makes + 宾语 + 宾补”：主语是动名词短语 Adding manpower to a late software project，谓语 makes，宾语 it（指 the project），宾补 later。动名词短语作主语时视为单数，所以谓语用 makes 而不是 make。
- make + 宾语 + 形容词（比较级）表示“使……变得更……”：makes it later = 让它更晚。用比较级 later 呼应前面的 late，形成“晚→更晚”的对照，这正是这句话又短又有讽刺力的原因，类似 make things worse、make it easier。
